1. Introduction

MyGGV GPS is a free app that guides residents and visitors to a block and lot inside Garden Grove Village. It has no account and no sign-in. This policy explains which data the app uses, why, and where it goes.

2. Your Location

With your permission, the app uses your device's precise location only while it is open, to show where you are on the village map and to guide you to your destination. The app never uses your location in the background. We do not store your location, sell it, or use it for advertising.

3. Route Calculation

To draw a route, the app sends your current position and the coordinates of your destination to a public routing service: the OSRM project server (router.project-osrm.org) or, as a fallback, the FOSSGIS server (routing.openstreetmap.de). These services receive the request and your IP address and handle them under their own policies. When no routing service can be reached, the app draws a straight line on your device instead.

4. Village Data

The list of blocks and lots is downloaded from the MyGGV servers. These requests ask for a block number only: they contain neither your location nor any information about you. The village map itself is stored in the app and works offline.

5. Crash Reports

When the app crashes, it sends a report to Sentry, our error monitoring provider, so we can fix the problem. A report contains the error details, your device model, operating system and app version, a random installation identifier, and the app's most recent events. Those events can include the latest route request, and therefore your position at that moment. Sentry may also derive an approximate location from your IP address. Crash reports are used only to fix the app, never for advertising or tracking.

6. What We Do Not Collect

No name, email address, phone number, or account of any kind
No contacts, photos, or files
No advertising identifier, no ads, and no analytics
No tracking across other apps or websites

7. Your Choices

You can deny or revoke location access at any time in your device's Settings; the app then cannot guide you. Uninstalling the app stops all data use. Because we hold no account and no stored location, there is nothing to delete on our side; to ask for the deletion of a crash report, contact us at the address below.

8. Children

MyGGV GPS is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
